Yes, occasionally a camera has been able to capture a photograph of me without
suffering permanent lens damage or frying the film or electronics.

Me and Grandpappy "Wrong-Way" reunited                                                A very young me in a REAL Apollo EVA suit, David R.
at last. (See the family resemblance?)                                                          Scott's from Apollo 15. Gloves were "Size J. Young" and
(Photo by Redeye Knight)                                                                           "Size C. Duke" from Apollo 16. You never know where
you'll end up as a science fiction artist, but being able to wear
a piece of history like this still a high point in my life.

Myself and my first (and so far only) nude male model. This charming
fellow posed for me for the illustration for "Exposure Therapy" in
ANALOG, but I'm concerned that I might be in breach of contract
because of him: he refused to sign the Model Release Form they require.

The finished illustration for "Exposure Therapy" ... if you look closely, you can see where I slipped my alternate
signature into the piece ... if I don't use my last name with the feather-flourish under it or display my name in a
design element, I frequently will use a simple "W" with the feather. You can see that in the center scale-pattern
rosette in the front coil of this magnificent python, just above ".com". (Thanks to Kayte at the Ellensburg Pet
Center for providing the snake, he was a real "charmer", and to Niki for offering to pet him, even if she ultimately
chickened out at the last minute. That's OK, it suited the events in the story just fine.)
